How it works
cost/day = (watts ÷ 1000) × hours × $/kWh
Worked example
A 3,300W miner running 24/7 at $0.12/kWh burns $9.50 a day, $285 a month. The same rig at $0.05 costs $118 a month.
FAQ
Where do I find my real $/kWh?
Your utility bill, and use the marginal rate including delivery charges, not just the headline energy rate. Many people under-count by 30%.
Does this apply beyond mining?
Yes, it prices any always-on hardware: nodes, servers, or that aquarium heater in our sister tool.
