How it works
iterate monthly: balance = balance × (1 + growth/12) + contribution, until balance ≥ target
Worked example
$25,000 plus $500 monthly at 20% yearly growth reaches $1M in about 13.5 years. Drop growth to 10% and it becomes 21 years. The assumption is the whole game.
FAQ
Is 20% annual growth realistic?
It is aggressive. Bitcoin's past decade beat it, its past four years did not always. Run 8-12% for a sober case and treat anything higher as a scenario, not a plan.
Why do contributions matter so much early?
When the stack is small, deposits dwarf growth. Past roughly $200k at these rates, growth takes over and contributions fade to noise.
