implied price = (price × old supply) ÷ new supply
Worked example
Burning 50M of a 1B supply cuts 5%; at the same $400M cap the implied price rises from $0.40 to $0.421. Burns announced loudly often move price more than the math justifies, briefly.

Do burns create value?
They redistribute existing value across fewer tokens. Value creation still requires demand; a burn on a token nobody wants concentrates nothing.
Are scheduled burns priced in?
Usually. Recurring burns (like fee burns) get modeled by the market; surprise burns move prices precisely because they were not.
