How it works
MC = price × circulating
FDV = price × total supply
Worked example
A $1.80 token with 250M circulating of 1B total: $450M cap but $1.8B FDV, 25% MC/FDV. Holding it is a bet the price survives 750M more tokens arriving.
FAQ
What MC/FDV ratio is healthy?
Above 70-80% means dilution is mostly done. Below 30% deserves a hard look at the unlock schedule and who receives the tokens.
Is FDV always fair?
It overstates pressure when far-future emissions may never fully happen (burns, governance changes). It understates nothing, which is why skeptics prefer it.
