How it works

coins = amount ÷ past price

value today = coins × current price

Worked example

$100 of BTC at $1,000 in 2017 would be 0.1 BTC. At $65,000 that is $6,500, a 65× on a dinner bill.

Where do I find the historical price?

Any charting site shows daily history. Type the price from the date you have in mind; the calculator stays offline on purpose so you control the scenario.

Does this include what fees would have been?

No. It is a clean hypothetical. Real results would be slightly lower after trading fees.
