On-Chain Metrics Calculator
Two staple on-chain valuations: NVT (cap versus transfer volume, crypto's P/E) and MVRV (cap versus what holders actually paid). Both need only public numbers.

How it works
NVT = market cap ÷ daily on-chain volume
MVRV = market cap ÷ realized cap
Worked example
A $1.3T cap moving $12B daily gives NVT 108, pricey against usage. MVRV at 2.1 says the average coin sits at 2.1× its on-chain cost basis, elevated but shy of the 3+ euphoria zone.
FAQ
Where do these inputs come from?
Public dashboards (Glassnode, CoinMetrics, blockchain.com) publish daily volume and realized cap. Definitions vary slightly by provider; be consistent.
What flaws should I know?
NVT breaks as volume moves to L2s and exchanges' internal ledgers. MVRV's history covers few full cycles. Use both as context, never as triggers alone.
